When Funds Are Secured

Work starts only after funds are secured.

Funds are considered secured when a client payment is successfully processed and placed into escrow before execution begins. GigBig does not initiate work on unsecured payments.

Funds are secured when
  • Client payment is completed
  • Gateway confirmation is received
  • Amount is placed into escrow
  • Milestone or package is marked funded

What does funds secured mean?

  • Client completes the payment transaction
  • Payment confirmation received from gateway
  • Amount placed into escrow
  • Milestone or package marked funded in dashboard

Execution begins only after this status is confirmed.

Why securing funds before work matters

  • Protects freelancers from unpaid work
  • Confirms client commitment
  • Reduces financial disputes
  • Ensures escrow-based governance
  • Supports predictable project flow

Financial certainty strengthens collaboration.

What secured funds do not mean

  • Automatic payment release
  • Guaranteed payout without approval
  • Coverage for out-of-scope additions
  • Bypassing milestone approval

Funds remain in escrow until formal approval is given.
