GigBig is committed to providing a secure, transparent, and reliable platform for clients and freelancers. This policy explains how payments are processed through escrow and how user data is protected. By using the GigBig platform, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Escrow Payment Policy

Payment Gateway
1.1 Payment Gateways

GigBig uses trusted third-party payment gateways to process payments:

  • Razorpay for domestic (local) transactions
  • PayPal for international transactions

All payments are processed securely through these gateways. GigBig does not store or have direct access to sensitive payment details such as card numbers or banking credentials.

Secure Escrow
1.2 Secure Escrow System
  • When a client selects a service or package and finalizes project details (scope, timeline, and cost), the full payment is collected in advance and placed in escrow.
  • Funds remain securely held until project milestones are met.
  • Escrow ensures commitment from both clients and freelancers.
  • GigBig acts solely as a payment facilitator and not as a financial institution.
Concept Approval
1.3 Concept Phase & Approval

After successful payment:

  • A project manager and assigned freelancer will communicate with the client to understand requirements.
  • A project concept will be submitted through appropriate methods, including text, sketches, drawings, or visual references.
  • The client is responsible for reviewing and approving the concept.

Important: Once the concept is approved (via platform message, email, or written confirmation), the payment becomes non-refundable and non-cancellable.

Project Execution
1.4 Project Execution & Design Revisions

Following concept approval:

  • Work begins strictly based on the approved concept and project scope.
  • Design revisions are included according to the selected service or package.
  • Revision requests must remain within the original scope.
  • GigBig reserves the right to determine whether revision requests fall within scope or require additional charges.
Final Delivery
1.5 Final Delivery & Payment Release
  • Final deliverables are submitted for client review.
  • Once the project is completed as per the approved concept and agreed scope, the escrow payment is released to the freelancer.
  • Subjective dissatisfaction alone does not constitute grounds for withholding payment if deliverables meet agreed requirements.
Refunds
1.6 Refunds, Chargebacks & Disputes
  • Refunds may be considered only before concept approval.
  • No refunds are issued after concept approval under any circumstances.
  • Chargebacks or payment disputes raised through Razorpay or PayPal may result in account suspension until resolved.
  • GigBig reserves the right to review all project communications and submissions and to make a final decision. Such decisions shall be considered final and binding.

2. Data Protection & Privacy Policy

GigBig may collect and store necessary information including:

  • Personal details (name, email, contact number)
  • Payment-related transaction references (not card or bank details)
  • Project briefs, messages, and shared files
  • Platform usage data

Payment processing is handled entirely by Razorpay and PayPal, each operating under their own privacy and security policies.

GigBig is not responsible for:

  • Payment gateway downtime
  • Processing delays
  • Policy changes made by third-party payment providers

GigBig uses industry-standard safeguards such as:

  • Encrypted transactions
  • Secure servers with restricted access
  • Regular monitoring to prevent unauthorized access

While reasonable measures are taken, GigBig cannot guarantee absolute security against all cyber threats.

User data may be shared only with:

  • Assigned freelancers and project managers
  • Payment gateway providers (Razorpay and PayPal)
  • Legal authorities if required by law

Privacy Guarantee: GigBig does not sell or misuse user data.

GigBig may retain user data for legal, accounting, dispute resolution, and operational purposes, even after account deactivation, as required by applicable laws.

3. Limitation of Liability

  • Delays caused by incomplete or unclear client briefs
  • Failures or disputes arising from third-party payment gateways
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Note: GigBig's maximum liability, if any, shall be limited to the total amount paid by the client for the specific service in dispute.

GigBig reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
